Will Packer is putting down his roots at Universal Television.
The film and television producer has inked a new two-year overall deal to keep his Will Packer Productions banner at the studio through 2017.
The deal marks Packer’s second overall with the studio and comes after his first year producing for the small screen yielded two series orders — NBC’s People Are Talking and ABC’s Uncle Buck remake. He’s also set to executive produce History/Lifetime’s Roots reboot.
